Inside America’s Boardrooms is now appearing on Facebook’s new video platform, Facebook Live. Live, as it’s referred to simply, allows Facebook partners to broadcast video to their audience in real-time—no lag time, video editing, or do-overs.
Not only does Live allow Facebook users to be “in the moment” as events unfold, but the audience is able to interact in real-time by posting comments to which the broadcaster can react and respond.
With a notification, followers of a page are alerted that a live broadcast is in session. Here at Inside America’s Boardrooms, we’ve used Facebook Live as an opportunity to further engage with our experts following the filming of an episode. The relaxed video platform allows us to cover more personal topics and spontaneous discussions.
